Olaf Schuelke is a Singapore-based photographer, architect and writer engaged in social and cultural issues with a focus on street and travel photography. Olaf has always been interested in documenting the human condition through the lens and his work strongly reflects the everyday life of ordinary people. Over the years he has traveled and photographed in over 50 countries.
Olaf's photographs have been exhibited and screened at photo festivals and venues in London, Hong Kong and Delhi. He has contributed to international clients and publications such as CNN, The Daily Beast, Discovery Channel Magazine, The Diplomat, La Vanguardia Magazine as well as German news outlets such as Stern, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Stuttgarter Zeitung and Der Tagesspiegel amongst others.
Olaf is also a trained architect and graduated with a Master's Degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of Stuttgart. Born in Berlin, Germany, Olaf has spent years living and working overseas in Ireland, the United States and Myanmar. He now resides in Singapore with his wife and daughter.
